Recap
We're baaa-aack!!! The trip went well. We got a great idea of we don't want and, in the process, Billy got to see a massive amount of redwoods for the first time ever:

So, the chef at the Little River Inn was a fake pimp, but don't worry... He didn't fool us for one second with his little bitty bay shrimp. In fact, the brunch we had there just made me miss Alameda.
My dad got to hear a great piece of advice from the father of the bride at Nate's wedding in June: "Sit down, shut up, and shell out." Well, after about ten minutes on a dirt road and numerous discussions about turning around, we arrived at the Mendocino Woodlands, confirmed it as camping and discovered where my dad draws the line to that golden rule... NO CAMPING. Dad just kept shaking his head saying, "I just can't see people packing sleeping bags..." LOL. He was right. Place did have the BEST DANCEFLOOR EVER though!!! Cryin shame.
The botanical gardens were gorgeous and it was there that we met some very nice guys who move tents. That was the closest we came to liking this area, but in the end, Mendocino was just clicky and cold.
GOOD THINGS THAT CAME FROM THIS TRIP:
1. I discovered my true calling: cake tasting.

2. On the ride down, it dawned on me... I have three great bargaining chips to bring to the table: Christina, Sarah, and Meghan. If the venue does a good job, there may be more business in store for them down the line. Right?!?!? Yes!
3. My mom and I found this awesome clip at a quaint little store in Mendocino.
Needless to say, we left Mendocino satisfied in many ways and singing songs that we'll probably dance to one day in the very near future.
